DocWorks was designed by two Pediatricians in 1997. Their original plan was to buy a system. After countless hours of watching demonstrations they came to the conclusion that although there are lots of good systems there was not a good system built just for the pediatric community. They needed a system that would allow them to eliminate their need for a paper chart but still keep the patients chart in an organized manner - all the while not interrupting their workflow. So, they decided to create their own system. DocWorks was created using their pediatric clinic as a test bed and as they have expanded to multiple locations, both their clinics operate as test sites for updates and enhancements. What does this mean to you?
It means that while other systems are generically designed for the medical community and has a “Pediatric Module”, DocWorks was designed for a Pediatric office. When HIPPA changes their regulations or Medicaid has new laws that affect your reimbursement – while other systems have to prioritize changes and updates – the Pediatricians of DocWorks HAVE to make the changes because it affects their reimbursements just like yours.
